Will The Archetype Soles fit in other shoes?

The Archetype Soles are double the height of traditional insoles. The same fit will not be exact in other brands' shoes. It is likely The Archetype Sole will fit in other sneakers or styles with a roomy fit. Shoes that are narrow or pointed may not work.

How do I know if I need a new insole?

We recommend replacing every 3-6 months depending on use. Your unique footprint will be imbedded in the leather lined sole and eventually you may decide to replace your soles for a fresh set. You should also inspect your soles periodically for signs of wear and tear.

How do I care for my Archetype Soles?

We recommend taking your Archetype Soles out of your shoes regularly so they can air out. Inspect the soles periodically for signs of wear and tear.

Should I expect a break in period?

Yes, it can range anywhere from 1- 2 days depending on the amount of wear. This is a crucial time when the shoe breaks down to accommodate your footprint, gait and weight distribution pattern. Over time the shoes will expand slightly and the insole will form to your foot.

Socks or no socks?

Try it both ways to see what you like. Socks will add another layer and make the fit more snug. We recommend to wearing Archetype Footwear without socks, so the softness and contact of the insole can be well received. Although, if you are a tried and true sockster, we recommend a supportive athletic sock that offers additional arch support. Check out the Adidas Climacool no show sock. We do not recommend wearing any socks that are super soft and slippery. This creates friction when walking and can make the shoe slip.

Rain or shine?

We do not recommend wearing these shoes in the rain, stick with the sunshine please!
